My Recommended List of Items that Sell Fast and Not So Fast..

Keep checking back at this list as I keep adding as I sell and receive feedback from other resellers as well. 

Hot Items:

1. Baby and toddler clothes (Tip:bundle 10-12 pieces by age and season). Sell for $5.00-$8.00 a bundle. If you sell 5 bundles in a week, that is $25.00-$40.00 in your pocket! These items sell very quick on FB Marketplace.

2. Baby and toddler shoes. Even if they have a little wear, they still sell.  Throw them in the wash and they will look like new again. Unless they are brand new, price for $5.00.

3. Baby carriers. If still in good condition, sell for 1/2 of the new price.

4. Toy trucks (Garbage, Construction, etc). I usually price 70% off new price. They sell very quick on FB Marketplace.

5. Toddler Board Books (Tip: bundle in 4-5 books). I usually sell a bundle for $5.00 if the books are still in good condition.

6. Wooden toys and puzzles. Melissa and Doug sell very well. I usually price 50-70% off the new price. 

7. Holiday decor, garland, lights, etc.. (Tip: make sure you post at the beginning of December when people start to decorate)

8. Pack n Plays, high chairs, strollers (Grandparents are always looking for an extra), toddler beds, cribs, gliders, baby gates

9. Athletic apparel.  Running jackets, pull-overs, etc..Anything that can run a little bit big or small on people since they cannot try on.

10. Kids Halloween costumes (Tip: list them the week or two before Halloween.  Anytime before that they will sit.)

11. Legos (Tip:bag and sell by the pound) These are a hot item.

12. Barbies (Tip: sell by the bundle or with accessories)

13. Outdoor pottery, sandstone, etc..

14. Men’s dress shirts, dress socks (new condition only). Men's apparel seems to be a lot more popular than women's apparel. 

15. Baking sheets, muffin tins, etc..

16. Bicycles, bike carriers.

17. Storage containers

18. Flower pots

19. Kitchen tables, couches, chairs. (Tip: These sell quickest on Craigslist)

20. PlayStation/Wii consoles, games and accessories 

Items That Don't Sell Well:

1. Women’s clothing/shoes

2. Jewelry

3. Candles, candle holders, Knick-knacks 

4. Designer purses (unless you list them for very cheap)

5. Stuffed animals

6. Plastic toys. Although the “Green Toys” brand is an exception and sells well.

7. Adult books, reference books, cookbooks 

8. Heavy/outdated furniture

9. Glassware-wine glasses, drinking glasses, etc..

10. Artwork

Side Notes:

1. Furniture/larger items tend to sell better on Craigslist.

2. Children's items tend to sell better on FB Marketplace and local swap groups.
